Due to icy weather and heavy snowfall, we have unfortunately had to cancel the Christmas event. This is enormously disappointing, but the roads up at Kielder become difficult, even unpassable, under such inclement weather conditions and we wish to avoid any risk of accident. As we posted up a few days ago, Sir Arnold cannot get his car off his drive, due to bad weather and had already cancelled. A full refund will be available - just get in touch with us. KOAS wishes all of our disappointed guests a Happy Christmas.
A quick heads up to all of our guests who are heading up to the facility for this weekends festive celebration. The event is scheduled to start at 7pm so please arrive for 6.45pm, you can drive all the way up to the observatory where we have a car park to the left of the road adjacent to the observatory, with stewards to assist you. The forecast is to get significantly colder. and possibly snow, so please bring warm clothing, we will supply tea and coffee etc. A word of caution, if the weather starts to deteriorate significantly then the road up to the facility can be hazardous, so please keep an eye on this site for future updates and exercise caution on the road, again stewards will be on hand to assist. Clear Skies and see you on Saturday!! Gary |
